Joe made me this fabulous planter for my birthday. I'd seen similar in magazines and really wanted one. It's just outside my back door so very handy. As you will see from the photos the plants have absolutely loved their new home! In there I have various salad leaves, radishes, spring onions, dwarf borlotti beans, marigolds, courgettes, mange tout peas and mini aubergines.

Now, almost 2 weeks on from last photo the salad is coming to an end but I have a few tumbling cherry tomatoes at the edges.

Thanks Gill for my creative award. Apparently I have to list 7 crafty things about myself. Ok, here goes...
1. I am a prolific scrapbooker and have at least 30 complete albums

3.I can cross stitch, but a bit out of practice.
4.I make cakes- not sure if that counts!

UK Scrappers bookmark swap.

My UK Scrappers team, the Scrapgoddesses, have just completed a bookmark swap. We all sent 7 bookmarks to Jen, and got 1 of our own and 6 others back. I had loads of fun making them. I used stamped images coloured with pro markers. I made tags with my cricut for the bookmarks themselves.
The ones I received back from my teamies are fabulous. They are so varied and I love them all.

How many people get to go to work in such an interesting and pretty place. Ok, I was doing my clinic at the cottage hospital, nothing to do with the steam railway or the views, but I get to see it on the way so that counts, right?
Also, been pretty busy with the seedlings. Here's just some of the wee sprouts thay have taken over my sun lounge!

Signs of Spring

Spring is without question my favourite time of year. Longer days, and the first glimpses of new growth. I always make a point of going to the park at this time of year for a few photos. As it's been so cold this winter though everything is way behind. It's March and no sign of a daffodil!!

So here goes with 2 layouts I did at the weekend of Serena. Thankfully she's a willing poser for the camera. The Spring time one has acetate on it so the photo's not great, but they were fun to do.

Here's A LO I did last night on a mega scrapping session with Katy. We were attempting to complete Challenge 1 on the Homegrown Scrapbooks forum , which involved using a part of every patterned paper in our Spring Survival kit and there were many..... about 60 I think! Anyway we did it!! I completed my challenge today at my all day crop. And here's a sneaky peek at the new Papermania cupcake stamp, which is one of the new scrumptious acrylic stamps coming soon..... In July. Thanks Katy for the loan of your stamp. Can't wait to get my own and have another go.....

Have been very busy these last couple of days and have done 9 LO! Here's one I did when scrapping with Katy last night. Yes its last month's Studio Calico kit again! It's still going strong. This one is for Willow's scraplift challenge on Scrapping Frenzy. Really enjoyed it Willow! The second LO is one I did at the crop today. Same kit! Love the way its lasting and lasting!

3L Scrapbook Adhesive EZ Runner road test.

Have been doing product testing for Design Objectives this week, on this fab little glue runner. I use glue runners all the time in my crafting, so probably at least 2 or 3 times a week. I have tried other glue runners and usually use the Stick it purple dots adhesive runner. I like the ease of use of a runner, never could be bothered to fiddle around with double sided tapes etc. My main requirements in a glue are a: their stickability b: ease of use and c: cost.
This runner looks good, is very easy to remove from packaging and use, and never sticks up like other runners I've used in the past. It did not break either, another important factor, and a common problem with some other runners I've used before.
I think I would buy it again as it is so reliable , though the price is higher than my usual brand. I would be more likely to buy again if it was a: refillable or b: cheaper.
Overall a great little product!

Here's to a great Easter! Haven't even attempted the Easter Egg Hunt yet as the weather's so awful, but here are a couple of indoor photos of two cute Easter bunnies. Serena wasn't too keen on the nose , but great fun was had by all , including the adults with the ears and tail. Perhaps best not to blog those photos though!!

Scrapping Frenzy!!!

Been to two crops this week, so a very good week!! At Scrapping Frenzy this week Becks brought along the new BG (thanks Becks!) , so just had to share this page using Archaic that I did at my second crop of the week , yesterday. A fab day was had by all!! The other page is of Lola at hydrotherapy this week.It was my first time watching, and quite an experience. And of course don't need much excuse to use the lovely Scenic Route Grafton.

It seems an awful long time since Martha, My sis and niece's dog, was this small! She was soooo adorable. Still is actually!!! (very!) When Katy and I were scrapping last night we were talking about what she liked then , and what she used to get up to as a pup. We realised things haven't changed that much. Except, of course she's a little (!!!!!) bigger.

Had a fab day cropping with Anita, Jo and Sue today! We were all very productive despite all the nibbles and fun! I managed 5 LO. Here's one of them.

We are all getting very excited about the new CHA releases. I can't wait for Scenic Route and October Afternoon especially!! Love them both sooooo much.

Another LO I did the other night. This is Martha on her 1st birthday! She really loves her icecream.

Scrapping Friday

Had a great time scrapping with Katy last night, and used some of my lovely new Mira by K and Co. Can't believe how much I love K and Co stuff now.

On holiday from work this week so hoping to get loads more scrapping done. Am planning on having a play with my Cricut Expression later, which I haven't done fror ages. Will show you any results later ....

At last!! The first one of 2008. Hope its a good one for all!!!

It was our all day crop yesterday. Went along with Anita, Jo and Sue. We had a blast, looking at Anita's kits, comparing stash and sharing our most embarrassing moments. Hmmm!!

Twice in one day! Just a quick entry tonight in honour of Lola, who I saw today for the first time in 6 months. She's been through so much recently with her surgery, and it was lovely to see her. She was very pleased to see us too, after the initial disbelief we were actually there. Can't wait to see her again very soon. Love you lots, gorgeous girl !

New Forest Tour

Had a fab tour around the New Forest and picnic with Susan and Katy on Sunday. Although not far away from us, its somewhere we dont go very often, so it was fun. Took a few photos. The donkeys were cute and very friendly, and the weathercock (or donkey!) at the nearby Primary school.

Cyber Crop

Well, thats the first weekend of the cyber crop over with. Had a busy weekend but managed to do 6 LOs. In a way I quite enjoyed not having the pressure and time constraints, but doesnt mean I dont want that next time.

Trial Run for Halloween!

There's lots of good things about having nieces and nephews and one of them is getting them to dress up for special occasions such as Halloween! (Ok, I guess I can't include James, Katy and Emma in this!) However, thankfully Izzi still loves to dress up. Serena isn't so keen! But she's getting there.

So as I do every year I got them a new Halloween costume, and last night was the trial run before we actually have the Halloween party next month.

Serena was worried about the pumpkin so Izzi wore that too, despite it being sized age 1-3 and shes 11! Serena liked Izzi's cat mask ! Kids, eh?

Thoughts on the UKS Cyber Crop

Found out yesterday that I'm a jiggly jelly! Bizarre , I know, but seeing as over the last two years I've been a samba, a Slytherin and a spade. ( Strangely all S's again!) I don't suppose this is any worse. I'm glad I'm not a clown at least. (sorry Anita!) To be honest, I'm a little disappointed its not its usual format especially as I'm in the same team as Katy, but sure it will be lots of fun anyway.
Tomorrow I'm off to the open day at First Class Crafts , so more spending no doubt!

Crop night

Well, last night was crop night. A great opportunity to get together with my girlfriends and scrap. I have made some fab friends since Scrapping Frenzy started, and I love going. We had a great laugh and did some serious shopping too, as David from Craft Obsessions brought several boxes for us to peruse. We also had lovely cake courtesy of birthday girl, Jo. Hope you're having a fab one , Jo!!

OMG!!! Joe was just getting into bed last night. (I'd been in bed half an hour already!) He turned back the duvet and sitting there was a spider.Eek!!!! Arachnophobia doesn't cover it for me, so you can imagine my reaction!! Took me ,unsurprisingly, ages to go to sleep!!

Early morning expedition

It was a bit of a grey start this morning, but we decided as we were awake early that we would go for a walk by the ferry (across the harbour at Poole). Benji had fun as he met other dogs. I took this quick photo as the Condor went past. It goes to Cherbourg. ( I think!) Anyway, it was lovely to see and have some fresh air. Just got back and had breakfast, perused my emails and had a cyber chat with some mates!

Haven't got round to decorating my CJ yet. So instead here is a LO I did on Saturday. I'm quite proud of myself as I at last used this pesky clock transparency I bought months ago! And I'm even in the photo! very unusual for me.

Woohoo!! I've finally blogged after much nagging from Katy and Emma! I hope you're satisfied!!
Got my Scrapping frenzy CJ back today. I love it! Thanks everyone who contributed. I chose to decorate the cover after getting it back, so guess thats my next job.... Pictures to follow tomorrow so watch this space. As its new Sims expansion pack time I haven't been on the Internet quite as much as usual. Very time consuming! It really is a coincidence that my holiday from work is at the same time as its appearance..... honestly!

Katy told me about a new blog today called Category stories so I've added it to my links, as its definitely on my to do list now! See what you think.
